MYP Personal Project!
The Personal Project is a capstone (end-of-program) assignment that requires you to investigate a topic of personal interest, establish a specific goal based on that interest, and work towards accomplishing that goal.

*You MUST do a Personal Project in order to successfully complete the IB Middle Years Programme at Senn and to earn your MYP Certificate and IB Pin.

**Personal Project completion will appear on your official high school transcript!

The purpose is to...

practice and demonstrate your skills:
    • Research & information literacy
    • Self- and Time-Management
    • Thinking
    • Communication
    • Collaboration
    • Reflection
and to...

practice & demonstrate those skills while pursuing a topic YOU care about!

You will have a faculty supervisor assigned to you early in the fall to assist you with your project. You will meet with him/her throughout the process.

There are 3 major components to the project (things to be turned in):
  • PROCESS JOURNAL - most important piece; used to record your process
  • PRODUCT/OUTCOME - the thing/event you produce
  • PROJECT REPORT - written at the end to summarize your process; used for scoring the project

The Student Handbook attached below is your guide to completing the project. Please read through it carefully!

A Step-by-step guide to the Process Journal is also accessible below. It provides a step-by-step guide for how to proceed with your journal.
