  UNCF Scholarship Program

Welcome to the UNCF scholarships, programs, internships and fellowships website. UNCF manages various scholarship programs and each program has its own eligibility criteria, open/close dates and required documentation. To apply for a UNCF scholarship, you must apply through the on-line application process. As many of the UNCF scholarships require that the scholarship recipient apply for Federal Student Aid, it is recommended that applicants complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program

The GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program, sponsored by The Ronald Reagan Foundation and General Electric Company (GE), is offering $10,000 scholarships to high school seniors in the United States. The GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program is open to current high school seniors who demonstrate the attributes of leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship similar to those exhibited by President Ronald Reagan. Like President Reagan, candidates use the formative experiences of their youth to lead, serve, and pursue a life of purpose and significance, both individually and for their communities. Renewable scholarships are offered for full-time study at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States. Leadership skills, 3.0 gpa, financial need.

The Tree Center Scholarship Program

$500 awarded. Scholarship is open to current high school and college students in the United States with at least a 3.0 GPA. Applicant must have designed an innovative product that makes a difference in the lives of others (this could be a website, series of blogs, an app, fundraising event, etc.) and submit an essay describing the goal of the project.

 $500 awarded. Scholarship is open to current college students who are U.S. citizens or permanent legal residents of the United States. ACLS​ ​Medical​ ​Training​ ​Scholarship​ ​Program

$1,000 awarded. Scholarship is open to high school seniors and current college students. Preference will be given to those currently enrolled in a national accredited Nursing school, Medical school, Pharmacy school, Dental school, Respiratory therapy program, paramedic program, and EMT program. Applicant must submit an essay on a given topic related to a life support situation.

Illnois AMVETS Service Foundation Scholarships

Up to $2,000 awarded.  Several different scholarships.  The Illinois AMVETS Service Foundation supports a scholarship program each year that provides graduating Illinois High School students a scholarship for their continued education.  JRTOC cadets given preference.

Paramount Tall Club of Chicago Public Schools

Paramount Tall club of Chicago (PTC) awards  a one time $750 scholarhsip to graduating high school seniors who lives in the Chicagoland area.  Eligibility must be 5’10” for females and 6’2” for males, be a graduating HS senior, plan to attend a 2 or 4 year university.

The Classroom to Classroom Scholarship

Up to $5,000 to a student pursuing teaching as a major.  We are on a mission to make an impact in the lives of aspiring teachers in America. Once a year, we award a graduating high school student with a $5,000 scholarship to further their educational goals. To apply, students must meet the following eligibility requirements:

·  Must be a United States citizen or Permanent Resident.

·  Open to students from all states.

·  Must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

·  Accepted as a full-time student at a 2-year, 4-year, or technical vocational college or university in the United States for the 2019-2020 academic year. We will require proof of enrollment.

·  Intent to pursue an Education or closely related degree

·  Proof of strong academic performance, leadership, and community service (see scholarship page for details)

For DACA and those without social security.  We offer two scholarships. The National Scholarship is for high school or community college graduates. The Opportunity Scholarship is for students who live in targeted, locked-out states where they cannot get in-state tuition. Your eligibility for both is based upon where you live.

Ron Brown Scholars Program

The Ron Brown Scholarship honors the legacy of Ronald H. Brown through a selective scholarship program that advances higher education for community-minded and intellectually gifted African Americans.  RBSP competitively awards Ron Brown Scholars four-year $40,000 scholarships ($10,000 each year) to the most talented and economically-challenged high school seniors who demonstrate a keen interest in public service, community engagement, business entrepreneurship and global citizenship – the four pillars of the late Ronald H. Brown’s mission to uplift people of all races, cultures and ethnicities – especially our disadvantaged youth.

Recipients may use the renewable scholarships to attend an accredited four-year college or university of their choice within the United States. Ron Brown scholarships are not limited to any specific field or career objective and may be used to pursue any academic discipline.  Since the Program’s inception in 1996, more than 300 students have been designated as Ron Brown Scholars.

College Board Opportunity Scholarships now available

·  College Board is offering $25 million in scholarships in the next five years

·  4,000 students each year will earn scholarships ranging from $500 to $40,000

·  Qualifying activities include practicing on Khan Academy, improving their SAT score, & completing a FAFSA

·  Half of the scholarships will be designated for students whose families earn less than $60,000 per year.
